its here!

wow it is here! our home is now just a giant place of storage. we have stuff scattered from one end to the other. we have whole rooms designated for 4 different shipments.

1. express shipment- this will be in Germany and will be shipped to the hotel we will inevitably be living in for an extended amount of time. (they did this estimate over the phone) we will bring pots and pans, a small TV, eds uniforms, winter clothes, PS2, and i think that's it.

2. Virgina- we are allowed 1000 pounds to VA. it will be there when we get there and then it will be shipped to Germany when we leave. we are shipping bikes, food, pillows and blankets, toys, and more uniforms. and maybe *cringe* this computer.

3. permenant storage. it will stay here, guy came yesterday and estimated 3500 pounds. i left 1 living rooms set, one dining room set, 3 bathroom sets, china, wine glasses, a million vases, my hope chest from Korea, end tables, jewelery boxes, all kitchen appliances with cords, except for my crockpot- I'm hoping i can get a transformer for it. lamps, clocks- they wont work in Germany, 3500 pounds of stuff- we will not see again for 4 years! maybe 2.

4. house hold goods. EVERYTHING else, and it will wait for a home along with us, in Germany. it will be delivered when we are out of the hotel, and into a home. i hope we have decided the right things, and have left what wont fit. i don't want to do a whole lot of woulda shoulda coulda. actually i dont want Ed to do a whole lot of woulda shoulda coulda.

exhausting. and i cant even do much! so i wasn't going to make this a blog about anything but the move...but since its sorta related now i will..since March i have been having some pretty serious back pain, and for the past 3 weeks i have had a walking epidural in my back. thank God for that thing, cause it works great. my leg is still numb, and weird, but the seriously wanna kill someone pain is gone. all i could do was lay down for months. walking, sitting, standing, all out. anyway i got my mri results back and i have 2 extrusion/herniated disks. which is just another term for really screwed up. and they are pressing on my spinal cord causing nerve damage. i will have to have surgery. but i have chosen to wait till i get to Germany. cant picture having surgery right now with moving next week. or in VA and moving to Germany right after..so I'm sorta stuck.
the whole point in that is i cant lift more than 10 pounds. so there is only so much i can do to get the house in order. it takes me 10X's longer than normal to do something. and the drive to Georgia will prob. be torture cause the doc said my epidural will wear out in 4-6 weeks. that's right when i leave here. i may have to go to VA with Ed. i don't know. well enough about that!

before we really kicked it into gear for the move we took the time for a night swim and smores for the kids...let me see if i can figure out how to post a few pics.
